Lesson One....Fashion Illustration - Bardy gets schooled.

I began my course in Fashion Illustration last night, taught by this amazing woman, Michelle Ker who also runs the course in the UTS program. Completely enamoured by this it is intense, well for someone like myself who struggles to place what's in my magical mind onto that vast expanse they call the "blank page".

I know I will have to do lots and lots of practising but I am really enjoying it so far. We have learnt how to draw the front figure and the three quarter figure. I have included two examples on here that our teacher drew, will have to get some copies of my attempts and post them too!

One surprising note is that you really have to visualise the human anatomy, really think how a body moves and it put together. The different segments, the bones, the flexible parts, the limbs. Everything in proportion.

Favourite quote from teacher - "These heels are higher than any human would wear but this is fashion". We love this.

Got my hair did!

Love for Greg the hair & make up artist I'm working with for the Forced Perspective boys. Played around with my hair...I loved it but he thought I fiddled too much with it after ha ha can't help myself!

Forced Perspective Photos - First Edit

I recently worked with the electro-crazy trio Forced Perspective (whose debut single drops 14 July, album on 14 August) and styled some shots for them.

This is the rough result. Not finished with the photos yet but I couldn't wait to share. Hope you enjoy.

The Dessert Society - A Short Film by Marta Besevic

Earlier this year, I had the absolute pleasure of being the stylist for my dear friend, Marta Besevic. She has written and directed a short film entitled "The Dessert Society".

This film has been picked up by the Soho Rushes Short Film Festival in London and the Cannes Lion. A massive congratulations to Marta!

The girl's belts were both sewed by myself.

Once filming had wrapped, the divine Chloe and I thought we'd gorge ourselves on some of the delicious desserts. At least those that hadn't already been thrown...

Forced Perspective Photo Shoot - Behind the Scenes

Forced Perspective are a Sydney based electro trio. They describe their music as - "a stomping audio-vascular collision of sophisticated beats, crunchy guitars, futuristic vocals and alien atmospheres; forced perspective unleash furious, sci-fi flavoured, synth-and-orchestra-saturated opuses of aural high adventure."

You can stream their music here: http://www.forcedperspective.com.au

These photos are from behind the scenes of their photo shoot which I did the styling for.

Here's their photographer, Barnaby Wilshier hard at work.
